Tuck Away Your Fathers’ – Troma’s Father’s Day is Approaching

First Troma gave us Mother’s Day, a revamp of their 80’s classic directed by Darren Lynn Bousman. Now, later this summer, they’ll try to traumatize all fathers’ out there with Father’s Day, by Astron-6.

In Father’s Day, a psychotic killer rapist is on the loose, with a special fondness for daddy meat. However, there’s one guy out there, who is willing to do whatever it takes, to send that nutcase bastard deep into the pits of hell!

Have a look at the trailer below, which I think looks stunning, apart from the added film grain effect, which doesn’t feel realistic or adds any atmosphere to it. Also, don’t miss the bad ass looking poster, designed by the award-winning poster artist Thomas Hodge, as well.

Father’s Day is slated to assault our theaters around June 19, sending a welcomed chill down all fathers’ spines, in the process.

Oh, by the way, doesn’t this gender equality just give your stomach a cozy feeling?

Mystical Teaser Trailer for Conan the Barbarian (2011)

The first teaser trailer for Marcus Nispel’s take on Conan the Barbarian doesn’t give us much to go on, besides the highlighting of some of the characters, surrounded by a mystical grey smoke, while a beefy voice, talks in the background.

I think that the three creatures in the middle of the teaser stand out a bit though, and I assume that they’re the same ones that we can see in these early action stills. Overall, I think that the trailer gives a nice mystical impression, but if I’m about to go and see it, they must show me some well-choreographed bloodstained berserk action, or else I think I’ll just wait for the DVD release, instead.

On August 19, we can see Jason Momoa, as Conan, clutching his big sword as he seeks a bloody revenge on the warlord who slaughtered his father and home village.

Dead Island – The Most Brutal Zombie Game of the Year?

This savage trailer for the upcoming zombie game Dead Island, from the Polish game studio Techland, is sure to blow you out of your pants! It’s one the best trailers, for anything, which I’ve seen in a long time.

In Dead Island, you find yourself at the fictional Royal Palms Resort of Banoi, in Papua New Guinea, to enjoy a luxurious vacation among the leafy hills, tropical forest, crystal clear water and endless stretches of pure white beaches. After partying one night, you wake up and realizing that you are in the middle of a mysterious and horrifying zombie outbreak, and the only thing left for you – is to survive!

The story of the game is inspired by classic zombie movies with a bold and compelling campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode. Besides that, the game has a strong emphasis on melee combat and character development, which sounds promising.

Now check out the sad, yet breathtaking trailer, depicting a little girl that has turned into a zombie on her vacation, in reverse!

Even if, Dead Island doesn’t turn out to be the most brutal zombie game this year, it’s likely to become the most hyped game of the year, since the trailer has already passed 2 million views at YouTube.

In addition, it doesn’t seem to stop just with the game either. According to Hitfix.com, the Universal exec Sean Danie has already snatched the rights to the game, so we should expect to see a zombie flick, based upon the game, sometime in the future, as well.

Dead Island is slated to shamble into our Pc’s, Xbox 360’s and PS3’s sometime late this year, and the question is, will you get it?
