International Trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard

Great cast, good story and a lot of action and wits in Patrick Hughes upcoming action comedy “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”.

After watching the international trailer, I’m think that placing Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson together feels brilliant. The chemistry between them, with Ryan as the serious hard-working man, against Jackson’s action-first-thinking-later-attitude, might result in an astonishing and entertaining movie.

The plot is all in the name. Michael Bryce (Reynolds), a protection agent, receives a mission to take his nemesis and notorious hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson), in one piece across Europe to the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Meanwhile the coldblooded Vladislav Dukhovich (Gary Oldman), a merciless Eastern European dictator, throws assassins after them, and if they want to live, they must find a way to set their difference aside.

The additional cast of the movie, consisting of Gary Oldman, Élodie Yung and Salma Hayek, also feels solid and I think the result can be both funny and clever, like their play with the movie poster from the 1992 hit movie “The Bodyguard”, which stared Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. Look it up, it’s quite funny!

Jackson and Reynolds will wreak havoc in the theatres starting on August 18, 2017, and I look forward to watch it. Check out the international trailer for “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” below, in which I think you can almost tell that they had great fun while making this movie.
