While on a trip in Mexico, the two sisters Lisa and Kate, grabs the chance to go diving among ocean’s fiercest creatures. As they sit protected in their steel cage and admire the huge white sharks swimming around them, the steel cable holding the cage snaps and they began to sink towards the ocean floor. After the dust settles and their panic diminish, they find themselves trapped in a steel cage, 47 meters down. Soon they’re in a lethal race towards the surface, against vile sharks and a fading air supply.
The unfortunate sisters are played by Mandy Moore and Claire Holt, while the captain of their boat is played by Matthew Modine. “47 Meters Down” is made by the duo of Johannes Roberts and Ernest Riera, who gave us “The Other Side of the Door” last year.
I think that “47 Meters Down” seem to serve up a nail-biting and claustrophobic experience, which you might want to check out as it dives into the theatres on June 16th, 2017. Check out the trailer below and see what you think.
