A Serbian Film to be Released in Selected Theaters

I guess it wasn’t a coincidence, that Invincible Pictures decided that Friday the 13th would be a great day to unleash Srdjan Spasojevic’s controversial movie A Serbian Film in a couple of selected theaters. A Serbian Film, is a movie that makes Hostel appears like a charming movie about backpacking in Europe in comparison, and it isn’t a movie for the ones with a weak mind or stomach.

The movie follows Milos, a retired pornstar, who now lives a quiet family life in Serbia, with his wife and six-year-old son, struggling to make ends meet. One day he receives a call from his former colleague Layla, who gives him an offer to be part in an ‘artistic’ film. Since the part would solve Milos financial issues, he agrees to make the film.

Nevertheless, before he fully understands it, Milos is drawn into a maelstrom of unbelievable cruelty and mayhem, beyond belief. To escape the living cinematic hell he’s put into, Milos will have to sacrifice everything – his pride, his morality, his sanity, and maybe even his own life!

Although A Serbian Film is highly controversial, depicting scenes of an extreme nature, I think that if you’re able to, you should definitely take the opportunity to see it, in a cinema, since it’ll give you a sizzling mind-bending experience, which will linger inside you for a very long time.

One tip though – do not bring a date to this one, since the chances are big that you’ll never hear from them again, besides a possible bill from their therapist, that is. After all, A Serbian Film became the most censored film to be released in the UK since Nammavar.

If you think you’re up for it, then you’ll find a list of all the cinemas, brave enough to let the movie house freely in their locales this Friday, below. Also, don’t forget that the movie will also be able exclusively at http://www.flixfling.com, as well.
