The PR staff over at 20th Century Fox got kind of busy yesterday, starting to heave out various promo stuff on the net, such as set visits, official stills and a poster for their upcoming X-men sequel, X-Men: First Class.
I have had mixed feelings about this one, something that has changed after looking at the photo above featuring the cast, dressed up in their superhero costumes. First I thought I looked at a lineup from Star Trek, but then I spotted James McAvoy, which convinced me that the photo really depicted the cast from X-Men: First Class.
However, even if that particular still seems a bit lame, I’m confident that the director Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) with Kevin Bacon (Mystic River), James McAvoy (Wanted) and Michael Fassbender (300) has what it takes to steer this away from an embarrassing failure though. I guess that we will get a hint on which direction X-Men: First Class is heading, when the first trailer arrives, which I imagine will be any day now.
Anyway, I think that the first poster for X-Men: First Class looks promising though, giving a cool and strong impression, or what do you say about it?
X-Men: First Class takes place in the 1960’s and depicts the story of how Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr became Professor X and Magneto, and what caused them to go from close friends to sworn rivals. The movie will blaze into our theaters on June 3, this summer.
