A promo trailer for director/writer Shane Cole’s latest inide horror Infectus showed up on the net today, which gives the movie a sturdy and engrossing impression.
Infectus revolves around Paul and Jennifer, two documentary film makers, who attend a cryptid convention in Rockport, Maine, to document the enthusiasts there and their trade stories of encounters with unknown creatures.
As a real cryptid infects a local fisherman, sending him into a rabies-like rampage, Paul and Jennifer’s project evolve into a very real nightmare. Suddenly a couple of disturbing questions surface; will the ocean unburden itself of more secrets and how will human life survive, when killing becomes contagious?
A little bit of interesting trivia is that the special make up effects was done by Emma Julia Jacobs, who recently worked as an assistant makeup effects artist in Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan.
