Warner Bros has hired two screenwriters to pen Perseus next epic adventure, set in the world of Greek mythology.
The “Orphan” screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson will team up with Dan Mazeau, the one behind the upcoming, “The Flash” and “Jonny Quest”, both distributed by Warner Bros.
Even though no director is official attached to the project, the buzz seats the horror director Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) in the directors chair. Louis Leterrier, who helmed the first clash, will be back as one of the executive producers.
It remains to see which of the actors, including Sam Worthington, who is eager to get on a new adventure, given the criticism the first movie received. However, considering that this sequel will be shoot directly in 3D, where the first one was converted, maybe will help it receive a better reception by the audience.
Nevertheless, the filming is said to begin in January next year, so I guess that “Clash of the Titans 2” will rumble into the theaters sometime in 2012.
