The other day, a happy Matt Damon showed up in New York City, to shoot some more scenes for the upcoming Sci-fi/romance movie, “The Adjustment Bureau”, which also stars the British actress Emily Blunt.
In “The Adjustment Bureau”, Matt Damon plays David Norris, a charismatic congressman, who’s predicted to have a national political stardom ahead of him. One day he bumps into Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt), a beautiful ballerina, which he gets romantically involved with.
A mysterious bureau, with a character played by Terence Stamp in the lead, contacts Norris and informs him that the relationship must end, since the two was never supposed to get together, the romance will jeopardize his life path, which is something that they cannot allow happen. Either Norris ends the relationship or they will.
Even though the plot seems like an episode from the TV-show “Fringe”, with the Observer guys in full throttle, the movie is actually loosely based on a short story written by Philip K. Dick in 1954.
I found “The Adjustment Bureau” to be rather appealing and look forward to see Matt Damon and Emily Blunt fight Terence Stamp, as the movie hits the theaters on September 17, this fall.
