MTV Movie Awards – And the Winners Are…

I kind of look at the MTV Movie Awards, as the equivalent to popcorn movies, not monumental, isn’t likely to leave a big mark, but will probably be a good and entertaining way to waste a couple of hours on.

However, even though I try not to care, the show can stir up my feelings, nonetheless. Like last year, when “Twilight” beat “The Dark Knight” for best movie, which I thought was just straight up mental.

Even though the show repaired that debacle, a little, by giving Heath Ledger the award for Best Villain, I still have a hard time seeing the show as anything else than just pure entertainment.

Even though I can imagine that Twilight (as usual) will scope up many of the awards, I still thought that I should share, which ones I would like to see go home with some of the awards, this year.

Update Jun 7: View the real result at the end of this post…

Best Kiss: Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning

MTV Shows

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, kissing in “The Runaways” is a pretty hot and titillating experience to watch, and they deserves to win this award.
(Other nominees: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson – The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds – The Proposal, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner – Valentine’s Day and Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington – Avatar)

Best Villain: Christoph Waltz

MTV Shows

Christoph Waltz does an outstanding and charismatic performance, as the repulsing Nazi villain Hans Landa in “Inglourious Basterds”, which overshadows the other nominees in this category, by far.
(Other nominees: Helena Bonham Carter – Alice In Wonderland, Ken Jeong – The Hangover, Stephen Lang – Avatar and Tom Felton – Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince)

BEST SCARED-AS-S**T PERFORMANCE: Amanda Seyfried

MTV Shows

Amanda Seyfried was marvelous in “Jennifer’s Body” and actually stole the movie, in my opinion. In this scene Amanda use her facial expressions to convey the fear, which her character is experiencing, in a both brilliant and credible way.
(Other nominees: Alison Lohman – Drag Me to Hell, Jesse Eisenberg – Zombieland, Katie Featherston
– Paranormal Activity and Sharlto Copley – District 9)

Biggest Badass Star: Sam Worthington

http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:514419

MTV Shows

Three of the movies in which Sam Worthington has played an action driven charcater, has grossed over a billion dollars, if that isn’t badass in this group of nominees, I don’t know what is.
(Other nominees: Angelina Jolie, Channing Tatum, Chris Pine and Rain)

Best Movie: Avatar

http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:511905

MTV Shows

James Cameron’s movie about the blue natives in Rasta braids and thongs, running around with bows, on the planet Andora, is just epic and was way better than I thought it would be.
(Other nominees: Alice In Wonderland, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, The Hangover and The Twilight Saga: New Moon)

This was my list, of the ones that think deserves to win some of the awards. However, I’m pretty certain that it differs from the ones you think should win, doesn’t it?

So, feel free to share your thoughts about this years MTV Movie Awards, as well as the ones you think deserves to win the different awards.
