The Japanese trailer for the highly awaited fantasy movie, “The Last Airbender”, has just hit the net, reflecting why this movie might be something extraordinary, if not it’s a wicked cool trailer, though.
This trailer doesn’t reveal much about the actual story, instead it focus on the special effects, which in my opinion, looks rather spectacular and must have swallowed much of the movie’s budget. It also showcases some never before seen footage from the movie as well.
“The Last Airbender” is an adaptation, by its director M. Night Shyamalan, based on a popular animated TV-series, which is filled with Asian art, mythology and various martial arts fighting styles.
The story follows the destiny of Aang, a young boy, who is a successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside, to stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.
This is the first movie in a planned trilogy, but I wouldn’t hold my breath while waiting for the two other movies, since producer Frank Marshal has indicated that it could take up to six years(!) before the trilogy is completed.
Nevertheless, the first movie will hit the theaters on July 2 and then we’ll see if it will be able to bend our minds with amazement.

Cool trailer!
The way this narrator guy talks on this trailer sounds more like a horror movie though.
