Here is the first trailer for Dominic Sena’s (Gone in Sixty Seconds / Swordfish) upcoming supernatural thriller, Season of the Witch, with Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman and Claire Foy, fighting the occult in a medieval 14th century.
The plot centers on the crusader Lavey (Nicolas Cage) and his companion Felson (Ron Perlman), as they returns to their homeland, which the Black Plague has in a tight iron grip. The church is under pressure, they say that sorcery and the occult is the reason for the plague.
The church commands Lavey and Felson to escort a woman, presumed a witch, to a remote abbey, where monks will perform rituals on her, in hopes to end the horrible plague.
The two knights accept the mission and together with a priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan), they set out into a mythically hostile wilderness.
The trailer looks promising and it might just give us a nice little medieval adventure, to look forward to. However, I do believe that Cage’s accent doesn’t fit in though, or what do you think?
cool trailer!!=)
