Episode 3 – Free To Be You and Me

I was optimistic that this episode would be the best this season, so far, in this season, since it would focus mainly on my two favorite characters, Dean and Cass. I was right. It was a witty one, yet filled with a tad of both drama and action.

The episode starts with Sam, lying in a bed at a motel, having trouble sleeping.  As he turns around in bed, he’s suddenly face-to-face with his dead girlfriend, who tells him, that she misses him.

Sam says that he’s dreaming, but Jessica wonders what the difference is, since she’s there all the same. Sam continues to say that he misses her so much, and Jessica tells him that she knows that.

They continue to talk about Sam’s decision to give up hunting and Jessica asks why he’s running away and if he doesn’t, tried that road, once before.  Sam explains that this time it’s different, since he now knows he’s a freak.

The Book of Eli Trailer

The first thought that smashed through my head, after I had seen the savage trailer for the Hughes brothers upcoming post-apocalyptic movie, The Book of Eli, was that it looked like they had snatched Will Smith’s “I am Legend” and pumped it full of amphetamines!

The Trailer draws up a dark future, where a war has devastated the earth, leaving just a handful survivors. One of those survivors is Eli (Denzel Washington), a remorseless and ruthless hero.

Book of Blood Review

One of the strengths that make Clive Barker such a great horror writer is his uncanny ability to create vivid and detailed worlds of unimaginable horror, and make us accept them, as realistic. Therefore, when I heard about the movie Book of Blood, I knew that it could be a rather horrendous movie, which I just had to see.

Hereafter – Not Quite a Horror

Clint Eastwood and Matt Damon had barely finished filming their first movie together, Invictus, before they decided to do another one, Hereafter.

Several movie blogs and sites wrote about this news a couple of days ago, but since Warner Bros has decided to keep the storyline to themselves, for now, it has been speculated that the movie would be everything from a thriller to a horror movie, in the same tone as M. Night Shyamalan’s, The Sixth Sense.

Status: Filming in September

After a quick check on what movies that has begun filming recently, I found two interesting flicks that can be worth a closer look.

I was surprised that no one had grasped the opportunity to make a movie about one of the scariest things floating around at the moment, the swine flu H1N1, until now that is.

Jennifer’s Body #5 at weekend Box Office

I thought that Megan Fox, portraying a vicious female student with a hunger for high-school boys, would have attracted people to the cinemas this weekend. Considering, it comes from the pen of Diablo Cody, plus the vast buzz it got earlier this summer; I thought it would land in the top 3, this weekend, at least.

New Zombieland Trailer

With barely two weeks before its premiere, a new trailer for the American Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland has come out.

This new trailer, called the “Greenband Trailer”, is the ripest that I have seen so far and gives us some insight of the characteristic of Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), together with a couple of new ones.

Episode 3 – Kick Ass Promo Clip

I just looked at the clip for episode 3, Free to Be You and Me, and I think that it’ll be a real kickass episode!

The premise is that Sam has laid down hunting, as we could see in episode 2, to focus on how to get rid of his urge for demon blood, leaving Dean to take on the Apocalypse on his own. However, Sam receives a message from a visitor, telling Sam that he will not let him off the hook, that easily.

The Men Who Stare at Goats

A goat happens to be the main character in the new poster for, The Men Who Stare at Goats, which might also be the funniest poster this year. Besides the goat, George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Ewan McGregor and Kevin Spacey, are also on the poster, which was posted on !Yahoo.

As you might suspect, The Men Who Stare at Goats, is a dark comedy and revolves around the reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor), who meets Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), which has quite a story to tell.

Lyn is a Special Forces agent that has worked with a top secret, military unit for the last 20 years and he tells Bob about their extraordinary and somewhat bizarre activities. Like how they tried to kill goats telepathically, just by staring at them, as shown in the movie trailer.

The movie, based on a book with the same title written by the journalist Jon Ronson, will have premiere, 6 November 2009.
